Is it possible to renew the asbest seal successfully if i just withdraw clutch and gearbox from the engine, and approach from the rear, or must i take the engine out and remove crankshaft and size in the new seal as stated in the service manual ? This seal is in all early xk 6 cylinder engines, so anyone please help !!
In geval dat iemand anders dit zelfde problem krijgt, komt vaak voor bij Jaguar's, de antwoord is, NEE, JE MOET DE MOTOR ERUIT HALEN, alleen dan door de krukas eruit te halen kan je de pakking goed monteren. Er is tegenwoordig en veel betere moderne rubber seal, ook in twee halven, maar de krukas moet dan wel machinaal aangepast worden.
